Join UsThank you for your consideration in joining us for a Bible study. The meeting time and location is below. It is our desire to cover a wide range of topics and doctrines as the Lord allows. We plan to continue this method of training if we develop in an independent church. We desire to cover such topics as: church government, the doctrines of grace, biblical fasting, church discipline in the life of church, the Trinity and Christology, how we got the Bible, and more. Please join us, and be encouraged! Bible Study: Thursday, April 29, 2010. Topic: God as Trinity. Time: 6:30 p.m. Location: Cabrillo Recreation Center - 3051 Canon Street, San Diego. Topic Summary: The topic of the Trinity evokes conversations everywhere. We will be looking at the 2nd chapter of the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith in order to discover this most beautiful doctrine of God. Join us! Topic Schedule: April 29, 2010: Is God triune? Is He 3 Persons, 1 God? Many have conjectured over this topic over the years. We will discover that without the Trinity, Christianity does not exist. Join us as we look at the 2nd chapter of the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. May 6, 2010: What is the "decree" of God? Does God decree everything? Join us as we look at the 3rd chapter of the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. May 27, 2010: How long did it take God to create the worlds and all that is in them? Was it 6 - 24 hour days? Was it longer? Does it matter? Join us as we cover the topic of creation. Our specific points of discussion are found in the 4th chapter of the 1689 London Baptist of Faith. June 3, 2010: With all the prevailing notions concerning the study for God's Word, which way is correct? Is there a correct way to study the Bible? Join us as we look at the questions and concerns we should bring to the text when we read God's Word. We will consider questions such as, "Why did Paul choose to write epistles instead of narrative?" "Is there more than one meaning for the text?" "Does all Scripture point to Christ?" These questions and more will be considered. Join us! June 17, 2010: What is providence? How are we to interpret it? Join us as we consider these questions and more. Our specific points of discussion are found in the 5th chapter of the 1689 London Baptist of Faith. July 1, 2010 and following: The subject is TBD. |
